The high purity Mg metal is mainly used as alloying element in producing Mg alloy and AL-Mg alloy, as well as reducin, deoxidize and metamamorphic materal inproducing certain alloy. It can also be used in chemical industry, instrument and military infustry.

It promotes nodular graphite in ductile irons to increase its ductility which even can be raised up to 25% in some cases. Nodular or spheroidal graphite, irons are essentially gray irons in which the graphite morphology has been altered from flake to globular form. It is also used in de-sulphurization of steels where, applications mainly intended for high formability, ductility & directional uniformity. Application includes linepipe and other oil country goods, high quality forging grades and heavy plates intended for welded construction.
